Closing up shop – it’s time for me to be a painter

Last summer, I wrote to you with news about a new creative direction I’d been pursuing through painting. Since that time, I’ve established relationships with a few galleries and participated in a show titled ‘First Light’; where my Muskoka-inspired paintings were on display with Canadian Artist Shane Norrie‘s beautiful pottery (see banner image above). It has been an incredibly encouraging and affirming year, as the work has been well received by collectors.

I’ve decided that I need to say goodbye to my work as a portrait photographer so that I can fully explore what is around the corner for me as an artist. I regret that I won’t be able to continue capturing your children as they grow. I will miss you! The relationships I’ve made as a photographer have meant so much to me and each of you have been part of that. Thank you for inviting me into your lives, homes and families!

I won’t be booking photo sessions at this time, but check out these amazing photographers! There are so many wonderful photographers in our area and these are just a few. If you’re looking to book a session, please give one of them a call!
